Scriptwrite and director of Kristina from Duvemåla

Lars Rudolfsson has directed a lot of classical and modern pieces, -theater, musicals and operas- such as Kalevala at Stockholms Stadsteater, Bizet’s Carmen at Santa Fe Opera House in USA and Mozart’s The Magic Flute at Opera Hedeland in Danmark.

He got his breakthrough 1985 with Pygmalion by G.B.Shaw at Orionteatern in Stockholm, where he was artistic director until 1993. From 2002 he has shared the position.

Lars started his collaboration with Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson in 1995 when he directed the first performance of Kristina from Duvemåla. He also directed the Swedish version of Björn and Benny’s first musical Chess in Stockholm 2002.

Lars Rudolfsson has been appointed honors such as royal medallion Litteris et Artibus for his work as director and director of the theatre.
